Christmas at the Castle

The Christmas décor of the castle interior, cooks prepare the Christmas English punch in the castle’s kitchen.... come to taste and enjoy the castle Christmas. This beautiful castle built in style of a romantic Windsor Gothic has got extensive exhibitions of the original historical furnishing (representative halls, apartments, a gallery hall, guest rooms, and a castle chapel). Advent concerts scheduled. Open from 9:00 to 16:00 hrs. Entry: 120 CZK (adult), 60 CZK (children). The castle has got a large English park and a golf course nearby.

Days of Bohuslav Martinu

The annual international festival dedicated to work of a composer Bohuslav Martinu with a participation of foreign soloists. Tickets at prices from 50 to 600 CZK can be bought through Ticketpro office.

Advent at Ratiborice Castle

When visiting the castle Ratiborice in the advent time, you will be welcome by the princess and the castle's officials. The servants will demonstrate usual advent and Christmas traditions of the 1st half of the 19th century to you. Open from 9:00 to 16:00 hrs. Highly recommended as a family trip!

The Christmas at Wallachia

A rich folk program with large exhibitions dedicated to the old traditions and habits originated from Wallachia at the oldest and largest open-air museum in the Czech Republic including the live nativity scene. Closed by a traditional Christmas Mass. Definitely worthy for a family weekend trip!

The 9th year of the international festival of advent and Christmas music and folklore. Live concerts held on the Old Town Square and the St. Juda and Simeon church.

The Christmas Markets

With a rich cultural program full of live music and games for kids, you can visit a market of hand-crafts and buy lovely gifts directly from craftsmen. Traditional Czech Christmas specialities will be served. Christmas shopping at one spot - kids corner available :-)

The Christmas at Loket Castle

The Christmas market with the full day program! There will be a pie competition for kids as well as a fencing tournament for them. While watching your happy kids, you can enjoy the glass of hot wine “svarak” or “medovina” liqueur. Also an interesting castle exhibitions will make your trip even more amusing.

Nativity Scenes from the Eagle Mountains

A Millenium of Religion in Moravia

A new permanent exhibition at the Archdiocese Museum. Precious works of art from the Bishop of Olomouc's private collection in the renovated Premysl's Palace including the Romanesque Bishop's Palace. Visitors will also see precious works of art from the 12th to 18th centuries, a unique collection of ancient art, treasures belonging to the archbishops of Olomouc and places which have played their part in the history of the Czech nation, as well as archaeological finds which shed light on the 6,000 years the Olomouc area has been inhabited.

Golden Ski

A new project of the Ski Federation. There will be 8 runs in 10 days held in three countries: Czech republic, Germany and Italy. 3 Sprint and 15 kms free-style men and 10 kms women. Qualification starts at 13:30 hrs. A cultural program and a festive firework scheduled for the evening.
Destination: Nove Mesto na Morave (the Czech-Moravian Highlands)
